Hmm, this looks like Nashville - was it last year? - when the metro government was voting on an anti-discrimination bill that would provide for equal rights in the workplace and for fair housing, regardless of sexual orientation and disability. The metro council vote ended in a tie, and the vice mayor then broke the tie by voting against it. It remains legal in Nashville to fire someone for being gay (or disabled) and to deny them housing that they are looking to buy or rent.

I frequently feel that I live on the wrong planet. What other explanation could there be for so many people being so stupid/selfish/evil?
