Didn’t want to walk early, but I made myself do it, and pretty soon it was over with. Took the Caddy home and fed the cats and checked the mail. Showed Roger where the Easter Seals was and he said he didn’t mind taking Jeanne. Fed the sourdough, fed the birds. Went to Portland Brew and met Charlotte Avant. She bought 20 Bees CDs to send to some people, which was nice. We chatted for a while and she said she’s been in touch with another Charlotte Avant in California. Met Jeremy Lister at Ginza, and he said he’s been a fiend for Sushi ever since a fishing trip he took several years ago. We worked for about four hours and came up with a really cool song, I thought. Ordered a Pizza for dinner and picked it up, and then we all went to Kroger and got some groceries. Jeanne kept saying she wanted to pay, but when it came time, she was dawdling and seemed perturbed. “I want to look at the bill!” “How much is it?” Then, when we came home, (she had purchased some lipstick) she said “Dan? Is this your lipstick?” Roger and I took the dogs around. Butterfly Boucher emailed me about playing a gig, and that’s exciting. Leslie called, and we tried to pay the mortgage online, but she forgot the name and password so we couldn’t. She said she finally got some sleep last night. Surfed ebay for a while and went to bed.
