Tuesday August 21 2007

Walked early, then went back to bed for an hour. Jonathan Trebing came over and we worked on a song idea he had: “Never Let Me Go” and I made egg salad sandwiches for lunch. We pretty much finished it, then I went to Troy’s building, and we wrote “Magic Hour” and I’m really happy with the way that song came out. We have 4 songs for the Ukulele record now, and we figure we can start recording in mid-October. Went to Taproom with Troy after we finished and had a few beers. Gave him Casino Royale to watch and hit the hay.

  2. Daniel,
1st off , let me say that I love me some Bees and GP.
I just stumbled upon your blog when I had a random thought today.
I live in Boston, but I’m from Nashville. Before I moved up here, I remember a song you had on Lightning 100 (circa 2002 or 2003) that was a rap cover? Am I crazy? Did I dream that? I think you did, and I remember it being pretty great. If I am NOT crazy - is that available on a B-side somewhere or is it just floating out in space? Keep up the excellent work and glad I found your Blog - thanks
