Wednesday December 12 2007

This was the 3rd Wednesday of our residency at the Basement. I was kind of looking forward to it because it was fun last week. But will anyone come? Have we somewhat saturated the market? To rehearsal and the boys are quick studies. We added this kind of punk-ish song called “Unsentimental” and it’s just a little diddy. I have to say I really like being in a band as opposed to being a solo artist. “Bathing is a lonely business!” as the butler in “Arthur” says. Dinner at Hopkins and it was a marvelous bean soup. To the Basement, and Kelly Jones was there. My parents came and my brother and Karl and they sat in the front ,which was kind of nice, because there weren’t very many people there. I was really wishing there would be tons, but what can you do? But more people came and it was fun. We sounded pretty good, and Freedy Johnston and Leigh Nash and and Kate York were there. Hung out on the patio with those guys after the show and drank some beers. Home at 2.
